The Design Edit is a Toronto-based web site founded in 2016 by ex-print magazine design editor Margot Austin as a digital outlet for her continuing pursuit of the best stories shaping the interior design market. TDE features product news, great shops, gorgeous rooms, design travel destinations and a peek at styling and design projects Margot is working on. With an emphasis on original content, TDE values simplicity, natural materials, craftsmanship and innovation.

About Margot Austin

Margot Austin is a Toronto-based marketing professional serving the architecture and design community. She is currently Marketing Manager at DesignAgency, a Toronto-founded international design studio specializing in hospitality, commercial and multi-family projects. Margot’s styling, editing and writing skills were honed during more than 15 years at Canada's top media brands, including Canadian Living, Style at Home and House & Home. Her work had been widely published in print and digital.
