I received an email recently from Julie Morissette announcing her lovely new online boutique Le Fabrique Déco. Julie and I had been in touch a while back when she handled PR for the Pébéo crafts paints I love to use for many DIY projects. Clearly Julie has the maker bug too, because not only has she opened this shop to feature fantastic local and international makers, but she is also the maker behind the chic lighting collection at Le Fabrique Déco. The line features woods, ceramic, black cloth cords and minimalist silhouettes.

Here are a few more of my favourites from the boutique.

Pure European linen apron made in Montreal by Mariana Robledo of Objective, $95.

I can honestly say that I have never ever wanted an apron before. I just don't get them. Especially the kitschy ones that were around a few years ago. Eugh. But this one — not only could I love it, but I think I would actually just wear it as a smock. Crisp white shirt underneath — or just as it's shown here. Cool and utilitarian minimalism.

And this gorgeous linen tablecloth would be just the thing for summer cook outs because linen washed like a dream and just gets better and better.

Moon print by Baltic Club, Montreal, $50 (frame not included).

This Moon artwork is charming and calls to mind a black and white version of Le Petit Prince. That frame is super cool but isn't included. I don't see it available for purchase separately but I'm sure if you messaged the shop they could hook you up with one for your La Lune print.

Wall hangings of brass with linen fibre tassels made by Cindy Hsu Zell of WKNDLA, in California. From left: Nightfall, $120; Mini Horizon in grey, $120; Mini Sunset, $120.

Forget macramé, all hail the tassel! Love how these marry simple geometry with the earthy texture of linen and wood.
